Here's my base tiny and small Halcyon ship designs, the Valkyrie and Archangel:

Okay, I saw the robot ship and thought, how hard could it be? So, I wanted to make a Robotech Veritech. It didn't turn out as cool as I imagined. And it's a lot tougher to make something like this than I thought it would be. You know, pieces pointing only in certain directions, waping, etc. Anyway, here's my attempt that occurred while I was actually playing. I got carried away, now I need to reload. Anyway, it does bare some resemblance to a Veritech: "/> I need to load one with weapons and pick a fight to see if I can get better shots in the combat viewer. I tried pulling one from the main map, but it was worse than these shipyard shots.

Ummm... it finally dawned on me that if I cropped pics I post, you might actually see something. You'd think I would've realized that earlier as most of the pics on here are cropped but I'm dumb so you'd be wrong. Here's a cropped Veritech where you can actually see what I used. I am very unhappy with the lower arms and mildly unhappy about the "knees" that seem to knock together or join. I am open to suggestion on how to make either more closely resemble a proper VT. I also added some cropped shots of my superheavy cruiser, the Chimera:

Kryos mod has made people make some awsome designs...

I'm a purist... I dont use the kryos mods cos... I dunno, i kinda like the challenge of making kick ass ships within the constraints provided... it's more challenging; and I'm quite chuffed every now and then... most of the time (even if i do say so myself)... I'd post some pics but it's late at night and most of my work is on my main comp (not my laptop - which I'm typing on)... but maybe one day.

having said that; every time I look at the mod section here, I am so tempted by the kryos mod cos it just seems good and keeps getting better... so maybe I will try it some time after all.

Wow I can't belive there a so many people that havn't at least tried Kryo's hull mod, that's one of the few mods worth downloading.

I should try mods. I haven't yet, everything I do is au naturale. But, I am running out of ideas, sort of sick of trying to make distinct styles from the same old parts. I have 3 lines of ships, I show the Halcyon line of stuff because I like it the most, looking all exotic and curvy. I have another line of ships that are also alien-looking while being vastly different from the Halcyon, very angular and cold(?), stuff that is decent and maybe I'll post that stuff some day. The third line I do, honestly, isn't very creative and I wouldn't show it to my dog, kind of blocky, legoland type things. I keep attempting new styles, but with the limited ship parts available, I scrap anything new because it really ends up looking like crap I already did or a horrendous, confusing mix of styles. I notice those who use the mods obviously have more options available to them and thus can create more unique styles... I didn't say that right. I mean, they can decide to create a whole new style of ships and they will actually look like a whole new style. Proud as I am of two thirds of my ship designs... it's getting boring.

Okay, here's the biggest ship in the Halcyon Empire line: the Paragon.
