Non working #SN

In short, aside the major shitload of mororonity with stardock, the #SN do no work for either regular
or collectors edition. I bought this game in sweden with a metal casing and limited edition stamped
on the cover. There is a very nice sticker on the back of the manual and a techtree folder included.
No #SN at the back of the casing as instructed though so apparently someone had brains...
And there is only one, 1, serial number included that I can see as clearly marked for use.
It clearly notes to be used for 'Collectors Edition content'.

I've tried to use this #SN on the back and I've tried to find a few links but what I'm getting is errormess
4 for regular game and 12 for collectors, meaning, not a registered #SN with you. I got the stardock
running and that does not match either. I don't get the use of this Stardock but I installed it and works
no better than this sites update service.

All I really want though is the patch. Too hard to hand it out?

Whomever is in charge of the #SNs can contact me for more info to help me sort this mess out.
I got photos of the case and manual. More can be provided if needed.

Before yelling at us perhaps you should have talked to Paradox. They misprinted the serial # labels. There's nothing we could have done.

However, if you click on the downloads area here, you will see a spot in the download latest version that will convert your misprinted serial to a regular one.

So next time you want to start screaming at someone, make sure you're screaming at the right people.

I'm not personally emailing you when there's a link right on the top of the Downloads page at left. "Bought your game in Europe? Click here." Paradox can also direct you.

You may email me via kwilas at stardock.com if you have further problems past that point.

Sheesh, people can get to nasty when their shiny new game won't work

I fail to see the logic though... if you think Stardock is moronic, why do you want to play this game so badly that you are ready to insult them for it?

It makes no sense!

I spent 5 hours searching for a single point of access and all came back here. There isn't a single little email
addy anywhere or support mail you can send on this, paradox or stardock sites. The only place to actually post
anything is here, for this game that is.

I figured this was the official site and you could solve it or direct me to one who could solve it. I want to be
very precise about this. I have tried all the links that carry off to asking for collectors edition. The one in the
box, here on the site, both the regular and the one for european. I've tried writing the #SN with both lower
and upper cases. I've tripled checked the #SN both in the game, stardock and here when submitting it.
( And yes, I did the same for a regular game to make sure I wasn't overlooking something. )
I have looked over this, stardocks and paradox site, which referred instantly back here btw, and no luck.

I did this as a last option as I hoped there be some info regarding this problem but I couldn't find any.

Clarification: The moronity was that there is a third party program involved. It begs to be trouble when something
goes wrong and you have to search for the error. It adds another chain of possibles that can go wrong. I didn't even
know that Stardock was making this game when I bought, I was under the impression it was a Paradox game.

Really? Apparently, Paradox messed up the first production batch and made an official announcement in their forum in order to solve the mess. It's as simple as that. Best to chill down and to start enjoying the game, mate

I have been having exactly the same problem. Very frustrating - assume that there is a problem in the "back-office" system. Would be quite good if it was sorted out ASAP. With regards to "Sheesh, people can get to nasty when their shiny new game won't work" comments - people get nasty when they spend hard earned cash on a product that has flaws or does not deliver on promises. I hope that the person who posted that comment never buys a car with faulty brakes.

http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?s=e3c74a3233fda42733e304513f3b7faf&t=235167 didn't work, I get the exact same responce as the last poster. Unless it has changed, the blue/yellow flag.
It makes no difference for me.
Although the game works I guess, if there is a patch for it I want it as it is obviously something the coders felt
needed fixing. I can see the reasoning for the #SNs but right now I feel it's a big hurdle to pass over. Who is
the one to fix this?
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234646 this link also states that anything is really
Stardocks problem. I'm dubious when it comes to the #SN foulup but it seems to be Stardock would be the
one to solve it as they do control the serial numbers? Paradox refers to the bug report forum?

I bought the same version as you. Took about 5 mins on the Paradox website, to solve the problem. A one minute search here also leads to the link to solve the problem. 5 hours of searching??? Very inefficient, if you ask me.

P.S. Best game ever!

Let me be clear:

Stardock makes game.  We send game and serial #s to Paradox to make boxes for European market. Paradox misprints said serial #s.  Tells Stardock of their error.

Stardock makes a page (see above comment) to convert the wrong serial # to the right one.

We're unhappy about it too.  We don't like getting yelled at for something that was totally out of our control.

I did not yell. I clearly stated what was wrong, what I had done to correct it and I was asking for some
extra help to resolve it. Yelling would have been demanding a solution without explaining what was
wrong. I've done my outmost to explain the problem, I even provided links where I had been and to
another person with the same problem to clarify that it was a real problem. I

Avatar Nakor on the other hand helped me identify the problem however and I know I'll look very
stupid for saying this but the font of the #SN isn't very good and I misstook an 0 with an O. The
reason I misstook it was due the font, I looked at it and determined it was a 0 when it was supposed
to be an O.
Feel free to laugh but those who might have a similar problem in the future can look here as I've tried
over this site and know that you have to go through the whole code and make sure there is no 1 instead
of an I or l, no 0 instead of an O and so on. If you could put this in a sticky as well as all the other solutions
I'm sure more than me would be gratefull for it if this occurs again.

I'd like to say thank you for the help to those who tried to help me here with this problem.
