Still problems with scrolling

Try grabbing the screen with your mouse cursor and moving it that way.

Edge scrolling is so 1990s.

To repeat: left click on the map itself (the main map not the mini map) and while holding down the mouse, move it around. Much better than edge scrolling.

u can move the it first vertically then diagonal but not "both" at the same time! (aka / <--- like that)

Well, GalCiv2 proved that theory wrong. Sorry, couldn't resist. I actually find the drag-click method much quicker, easier and more precise than side scrolling now that I am used to it.

I havent got GalCiv II yet, but I'm a huge GalCiv fan.. do you mean to say that the new game doesnt allow you to scroll simply by pushing your mouse against the screen 'wall'?

I agree that click/drag scrolling is annoying... what could possibly be easier than flicking your mouse to the left and letting the screen scroll to the left..?

You CAN scroll by the edges of the screen, just not the corners (as in not diagonally).

Yes, you can Scroll but it does not work correctly. It malfunctions most of the time when you try to push the screen with the mouse. You have to back up and do it again to make the screen move. It also Scrolls very slow even set to 100%.

This is my preferred way to play, and it is for me, the biggest drawback to the game, in the sense it is frustrating, so it sucks some of the fun away.

I think this really needs to be looked at and fixed. Also, it would be nice to have the Arrow Keys mapped so they moved the screen around. Move ship movement to the Number Pad, or just allow the Keys to be remapped.

I agree - the keys should be either mappable or they should change the arrow keys to map movement rather than ship movement.
