Quicksave game crashes the game after loading it

The autosave savegame that got created is bad, I dont know why exactly but I'm sure Stardock can find out.

I had a "quicksave" go bad after I went the normal route for saving but then chose the name "quicksave" and overwrote the automatically generated file. However, I managed to reload from an autosave, so it wasn't a huge issue.

Speaking of loading saved games, does anyone know how to turn off the 'research tree and homeworld production sheets' at the beginning?
