This is what happened. Me and another civ ship were racing to an anomaly, I was 2 tiles behind. I clicked on the anomaly, with 3 tiles to get to it and instead of using up the 3 remaining tiles the best way possible (by actually getting to the anomaly first) it moved my ship behind the other one instead of simply flying by, thus loosing advantage and having to spend one additional move to get around... I have the pic posted at Apolyton GalCiv2 forums... Please fix this...

Yes, auto-moving sometimes doesn't take the shortest way to a given target. That's why I don't trust it when things are important.

How to post pictures;

- Go to www.imageshack.us and upload your picture form your HD.
- Put the direct link on this forum (or put it between IMG tags if you want it to display directly on the forum instead of just a link. to do so, just click on 'image' above the text bloxk where you write your post and insert the link).

To help cut down on this kind of thing, I usually direct a ship to travel to within one space before a planet or intended destination. From there, I'll refine the path by right-clicking on the planet or exact spot I want it to go. That usually straightens out the path. Sure it's an extra click, but since my focus is already on that ship it's usually more convenient for me to do so.
