Whats the maximum size for custom ships?

I've created several custom ships as templates (no engines/weapons/anything tech related) so I can use the hulls in future games. However, on one of my ships only half the ship "extras" appear. It appears a maximum file size has been exceeded??? The ship file is about 13kb. What's the max the game can handle????

That sounds like a bug that was (supposed to be) fixed in last Firday's patch. I know I used to run into it all the time even on small designs, but haven't seen it since them.

yea same here. I had that bug as well but it was corrected with last week's patch

There was a file size limitation that we fixed in 1.0D-1. I think it has been fixed but if you are having problems here still we can look into it further.

If you can do a few things. Take a screenshot of the design before you save it. Then save it, and send us both the .shipconfig, and .shipclass files, (From you my games, galciv2, ships folder) along with the screenshot.

Problem solved. The Stardock Central installed .008 patch went over my manually updated .007 patch and sent me back to the release version of the game. The issue I was having was the old 1.0 bug. Everything is fine now, wish we could figure out why SDC said it updated my game to .008 when it actually dropped me from .007 to the original release version.
