Every couple of turns, you can check every other empire to see if they researched any new technologies. If one of them did, you purchase it from them for cash, and sell it to all the rest of the civilizations. The net result of this is that enemy research becomes cash for you.
Maybe this isn't technically an "exploit," but it is certainly too powerful in a game with many empires (5 or more). You do not need to have any other source of income to fund your empire. It is EXTREMELY easy to win a game by doing this.
A good fix for this would be to significantly decrease the value of technologies if more civilizations already have it. On the same token, if a civilization is the sole owner of a technology, they should be hard-pressed to give it up and it should cost MUCH more.
