Ok I put this question into star dock, but the sooner i get a responce the better, and who better to ask then the persons that are hopefully vieiwing the fourms now!

My problem is I live about 60 miles from a best buy or a walmart! heh hard to belive a flippen walmart that far from anyone damn things are like locus! well yah I am just learning about this game and would really like to get the collectors edition..TODAY! I am off work today and thursday, so the sooner i cna get this anaswer, sooner i can start my quest to get this game!

Well i am considering just doing the download from star dock for 44.95! BUT is that version the collectors edition?!? supposedly if ya pre-ordered yes

Stardock only has the CE version in stock, so yes, if you order from them, that is what you will get. The Bonus Pack was to be just for pre-orders, but has not been incorporated into the basic patches.

If you order the CD from Stardock, you can also download and start playing right away.

as I knew a reply here before stardock

nothing against them, I just use to work customer service for a game company before and know how overwhelming it can be at times

The bonus pack adds a few maps, and doo-dads and so on to decorate custom ships with. Nothing to ge too excited about, but nice to have, non-the-less.

yah, its why i wanted the CE edition, if ya are going to get a game, might as well spend the few extra bucks, support the company and get the little few extra bells and whistles

i thought the CE came with the bounus pack regaurdless if it was preordered

Bonus pack is for everyone. Think of it as the first patch. When you order from Stardock they will send you the game. But you will also be given a serial number with which you can download the game immediately after you install Stardock Central. What you will download will be the full game with the bonus pack and the Friday patch all integrated together. Everyone, no matter how they got their game, is on this version.

The Collectors Edition simply has a couple extras:
1) About 15 new ship "jewelry" which don't effect stats
2) A desktop theme

You will find a code number in your CE box you get to be able to download these CE extras.

I placed an order a little bit ago for the game on the star dock website! now am just killing time awaiting for the order to be processed and get the download link!

I was a bit suprised, when i placed my order it did not give me an order number or anything, or an email, blah hope i did not screw it up, I guess off to BF2 while I wait

thinking i should have done total gaming, its been over an hour and nothing yet O.o, normaly when i place an order online to dl a game it happens within 5 mins..oy

I think you did something wrong - I just ordered and you don't even have to wait for a confirmation email. The last ordering page (the receipt), that you see when it accepts your order has the download link and your serial number right on it. Although I also got a confirmation email within seconds. I think something went wrong with your order placement.

Will try again, just did not want to do dublicate orders, sent there sales team 2 emails to see if it went through and its been a few hours since the first one with no reply, guess i shall try again

If you purchase it standalone from TotalGaming, then it's $44.95. If you become a member it will cost you 5 tokens (~$35).
