Received GalCiv 2 CE Box from Stardock

Plus a Question on the Serial #'s

from GalCiv2 Forums
My apologies if this has been posted already.

I ordered a CD version from Stardock and it arrived today. Fast shipping, considering they sent it out Friday. I'm in Minnesota BTW.

I took a quick peek at the Tech Chart and they split it up to use both sides. One side has Weapons and Defenses, the other Diplomacy, Propulsion and Engineering. Very nice layout, excellent job Stardock.

There's an insert with a Serial #, what do I need to do with it exactly? Update my account here at GalCiv2.com?

And I know what to do with the CD Serial #.

Since I was able to download the game from Stardock while I waited for the CD to arrive, let me just say that I am so engrossed in this game that it's almost all I can think about all day long. I've never been this captured by a Turn-Based Strategy game before.

Yup i believe that the serial no you got to download the game is only a temporary one and should be replaced by the one from the box. This will allow you to d/l the bonus items too.

The insert is so you can use the collectors edition stuff.
the one on the CD is the Game serial code...

Got mine today as well. (indiana) Great shipping.
As for the serial #. I believe. All you need to do is start GalCiv 2.
Then at the menu screen hit the Update Serial Button and input your
new serial. After that your all done.
As for the coupon that has the Collectors edition Code. I dont "think" that
is needed any longer. Because with all the shipping issues that arose,
they were letting everyone get the collectors update.

I was asking about the insert. I updated the game's serial number. I forgot they were letting everyone get the CE stuff because of shipping problems.

Got mine today as well (CE upgrade from TGN).

I feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that mine might have actually been packed up by Frogboy or Cari Elf (or any number of other famous Stardockians).

Uh, yeah...sorta got mine today. I ordered my copy in March and had quite forgotten that I had requested a box. Needless to say, I was a little surprised to get an e-mail this morning from a former coworker 600 miles away telling me that my pre-ordered copy of Gal Civ 2 had arrived and what the hell should she do with it.

I got mine in my mailbox today as well, over here in Massachusetts. I was a little perplexed at first (I don't get much mail), until I realized what the package was, then I did a happy dance.
