I have read the manual and the tooltips and they still dont make sense. What do they do in the game? I have never seen an instance where creativity and luck have done anything for me. I have played two games with both skills so that I can see what they do. I have no clue after about 8 hours with each skill. I am hoping a dev or someone who has seen them in action can give me a concrete example of what they do.

Well, I think "Luck" helps you when it comes to galactic events. Like in this game so far I've received like 5 Ranger ships so far, Whereas noone else in the galaxy seems to have received a single one yet. :o
I hope this helps a bit. :o

I can safely assume that luck helps with the anomoly results, I have gotten $1000 each from 2 anomolies and $500 from another. I was just wondering if it really helped with your combat critical hits like the manual said, or anything else for that matter. AS for creativity, it says it's supposed to get you random tech for free every so often, but I have never seen this happen.

Creativity is supposed to increase the odds of getting an event that gives you techs and increase the odds of getting a powerful tech when you conquer an alien planet.

Luck is supposed to increase the odds of you getting a beneficial event.

I like how Brad says "supposed to"...

Gives me the feeling he doesn't know any more than the rest of us.

I don't have any Creativity bonus points, yet when I get techs from captured planets they are usually the higher of the AI's researched techs. They usually start off with the high techs and work down to the lower ones, with a little randomness thrown in.

So I still don't see any advantage to putting points towards it.

And I always found it odd that when stealing techs they should work from the top down and not from the bottom up.

Lab coat ninjas will always nick the sweetest techs they can find first. Makes sense to me.
