I read somewhere that a planet with rings gets a boost to its research. Does a planet with a moon get a similar bonus?

Also, I would like to see some sort of correlation between planet size and planet quality (i.e. bigger planets should have more buildable tiles and therefor a higher PQ).

My understanding is that rings and moons are just visual, but I could be wrong.

I have to disagree with any correlation between planet size and quality. Look at Jupiter. It's huge and useless.

I don't recall rings giving any advantage either. As far as I know, it is strictly luck of the draw.

Rings give A reserch bonus, and Moons give a manufacturing bonus.

I thought rings have research bonuses and moons a production bonus, something like 5-10% I think? Too lazy to look it up.

I really should pay attention to that as much as I do to individual tile bonuses.

it's 10% for both.
