No ships, no planets on main map.

Adjust the stars/nebulae/zoom settings and load/reload/quit load game. Another words keep tinkering this way and they will eventually show up. But when you exit the game you will have to do this all over again...

Ermmmm. I know this may be as well recieved as customer service asking you if your PC is plugged in, but there are little icons to the right of the map that turn the planets/ships/stars on and off I think. Try that.

Yes I do! and it's driving me nuts. Both on my laptop with 128 mb ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700 and on my desktop with 64 mb Geforce 3 Ti 200. These are not the very latest and hottest graphics cards I know, but at least my ATI is able to run games like DOOM 3 and clunky Civ 4 with no problems.

I'm so pissed off right now. The game is running but is unplayable on both my computers.

Didn't help a bit. Are you sure this is all you did?

yep i just kept fiddling with these settings and they eventually showed....

Hopefully they will fix this....

I´m having the same problem, no stars no planets and no ships, (running in win 2k with an Nvidia GeForce 6200(XFX), AthlonXP 2400, motherboard Asus A7V880, 2GB Dual Channel Kingston memory) and everything up-to-date.
Please, someone can help?

PS:i tried the 3DAnalyze program and no luck at all, i tried fiddling with the settings and nothing...
