McAfee gives "Malicious Script" warning for EXE?

When I autorun the CD, or run the main exe file, MAfee gives a suspect/malicious script warning. Is there something unusual about the Exe file that should cause this? I have never had this with another game.

Thanks!

Yes, the devs already mentioned this. The launcher uses a VB Script. When McAfee is set to scan VB Scripts, it detects all such uses of VB Script like that as "Malicious Scripts". You should just ignore it.

If you are realy worried about it you can simply create a new shortcut to the galciv2.exe in the \Galciv2 forlder and use it to launch the game.

Stop using this stupid costly antiviruses
McAfee, Norton , some others ... they just making problems , try AVAST! ( http://www.avast.com/ ) , Home edition is free , system load is low and it's a very effective antivirus.

It's not a "commercisls" I just hate to see people spending a lot of money on this problematic antiviruses while there are few completely free for personal use and they are better.

Lord KiRon is right. Mcafee/Norton are garbage. Try either Avast or AVG 7. Free and better.

Yep, agreed that Mcafee/Norton are garbage. Personally I perfer AVG 7, I have been using it for 2 years now and it is so much better. Another thing is that they have free update instead of running out and making you pay money.
