Game does not start - Error

Hello,
I have downloaded Galciv II and have the program installed. Now I can't start it. I always get a error when i start. Because winxp sp2 is german the error is in german.

My guess: Read the readme or the stickies = make sure you're not running in 16bit color as your desktop.
