It will. Presently it doesn't because it's getting so hammered that the search would bring it to its knees.

The search function was temporarily turned off due to overwhelming bandwidth consumption during the initial release period. (digital downloads of game) Stardock purchased 300mb/sec bandwidth, and it got sucked up rather quickly and unexpectedly!!!

I don't know if a search function would consume bandwidth any more than loading every thread that could be remotely relevant into different tabs would.

OTOH, a search function would prostrate a server's processor and ram were it inundated with requests. Didn't civfanatics once disable theirs for a time after Civ4 shipped?

Anyway, as a temp workaround, wouldn't Google site-searching work?
