ship design bug: missing parts after save

Last 2 ship designs I've made a weird bug is happening. Once i save the design, its saved with some parts missing. Is this a bug or working as intended? I was trying some crazy designs. Is there some kind of rule about part collision or number of parts? I don't know why this has been happening.

I had the same thing happening with a design containing many "rotate 90°" special parts. When upgrading it to fix this, I could not select any of the rotation parts or it would reset the design. Very strange.

yes its weird. Its either a bug or a limit of some sort for certain parts? I'd like some claification from somebody on this.

can we get a response to this? I'd like to know if this is a bug or just some limitation with the ship design mode.

so...anybody else have this problem or is it just me and that other guy? Its been suggested that overloading a design with components can cause this bug. So, I'm wondering if anyone has taken notice of this and if this will be fixed.

Overloading with too much jewlery can cause the whole game to crash (at least until today's patch.) I've never heard of components dissapearing though. I guess I don't decorate enough.

but thats just it, on one of them i didn't have too many components, but i did have a bunch that collided and intersected with each other. Would that have something to do with it?

It's a known bug, which is fixed in the patch (which hopefully will be out before the night is over).

ah ok glad to hear it, I will be anxiously awaiting the patch then. Maybe then I can successfully make those crazy ships
