CTD when saving, CTD when loading corrupted saved game

I have had several instances of getting a CTD when saving. The file that was trying to be saved is then corrupted and unloadable (actually produces another CTD when trying to load that file upon restart of the game). I'm playing the downloaded digital bonus pack. I have the latest drivers, ample disk space, DirectX 9.0c, blah blah blah. If it a known issue, great, but please fix it with the first patch if possible.

Asrock K7VT4A Pro motherboard
768 Mb pc2100 RAM
Western Digital 40GB 5400rpm
GF4 ti 4800 128Mb 8x video card
