Collectors Bits

Seriously. I had a feeling that the collectors edition ship parts would be something special. And well let me tell ya, they really are. See the bonus download pak, contains quite a few and gives us some neat options.

But the 14 or so collectors edition parts took the ship designing ideas, and upped it from a 10, to a 25.

Amazing. Literally so many options ... and their quality is so far beyond good even in comparison to regular bits. I want more ship options from the dev's like the collectors edition ship jewelry.

Oh.. and thanks for such a great game. (Once I figured out how I was making it so much harder on myself.. and now finally am getting a decent understanding of some mechanics.)

After enjoying my FIRST 6 hours of GC2, and losing, i still feel good cuz i did very well. had i chosen a larger arena than "tiny" for the map i think i could have used my good resources, research, excellent economy, happy citizens and all that to begin buiding more lethal fleets and attack shuttles. in a small game there is only so much space and TIME is certainly a factor. Just reading every one's posts here has already helped me to understand why I got my butt kicked, but in truth, i was VERY close to being the victor, i just played out the "tiny" map as though i was playing a larger map. Oh! i almost forgot to say after my 6 hour game i downloaded the BONUS PACK... will take a look and install what is needed. The idea of more ship components sounds great. I didn't get into that much in my very 1st and only game i've played so far. This game has wonderful replay value just like SMAC does. ;;cheers;;

You can download the Collector's Edition stuff from the Downloads section right here on the GalCiv2 website. It's just an .exe file. I did it last night. I have no idea where it puts the theme though.

Yeah the more I think about it... the quality of the collectors edition bits, blow away the quality of the other stuff. Absolutely amazing. Now back into the game!
