The Game is AWESOME!

but my butt hurts

Hey everyone, the game is simply awesome. I will admit that it is a bit overwhelming even with the GREAT video tutorials. There is just so much information available to you all at once... I find it hard to focus on which direction to head first. At last, I have been on the computer all day and to be truthful, my butt hurts! So I believe that I will take my leave from the game and you good folks so that I may rest up for what I can assure you will be a marathon session later on
Have fun everyone!

bumpin' to send good vibes to Stardock, and get it closer to the top where it belongs!

I had some issues downloading myselft, but found I had 2 versions of Stardock Central on my pc. Now, all is well and its running great.

Its not a perfect game, but leaps & bounds better than GalCiv-1. Lyndy's right, Too Many Things To Do!! Maybe I'll go in and do some shipbuilding. or maybe start a new game and terrorize the galaxy. then again, there's 7 or 8 races I haven't played as yet. But what about the Campaign that I need to start at some point. It's going to be a long week of late nights!

Good job to the crew of the S.S. Stardock. and I'm really impressed by the presence of so many of yall on these boards. Hope you get some time off soon. Y'all earned it.

We can sleep when were dead in the meantime, we just want to make a cool game for all y'all! Seriously, though, we're glad to hear you guys are enjoying it...can't wait to fix some of the little bugs that have creeped up so everyone can play the game without interuption.

I'm lovin' it despite all the goofy things that happened on my first two runs of the game. I had to reboot twice for some weird reason, and now I'm down to a stable version with the standard bugs floating about.

My first game resulted in a startling and unexpected influence victory. I love the "iKorx"!

Ufff. Just finished my first game - lost it, damned Torians - but wow, what a game that was. Never enjoyed loosing so much!

You know, when playing GalCiv1 I used to be quite cool and detached... but with GalCiv2, I get much more emotionally involved, because everything feels much more epic and personal, primary because of the ship design feature (yeah, I'm one of those guys who spends more time designing his ships than playing the game...)
It's quite a different experience to have battles with generic ships... or seeing my first destroyer class ship named 'Hope' because it was the goddamn last hope for my race ripping apart swarms of Torian fighters...

Yeah, I love the game! And I recognize that as someone who used to beat GC1 on crippling 99% of the time, I have to learn again how to play this game. The AI has really getten much better - the way I played my first game, I'd won if it had been the GC1 AI. Well, I guess it was a bit arrogant to start my first game on tough assuming I knew 'how to do this'.

another bump. What an exceptional game Stardock.

Speaking of those GREAT video tutorials, anyone else think the tutorial girl sounds a little like Inara (Serenity/Firefly)?

I like it when the AI sends messages to you about things you're doing. When playing on a Small, Normal Deul map I quickly gained a superior military and sent attack ships and transports right near the enemy's territory. A bit later I get a message saying something like, "Are you seriously sending all those troops right to my border and thinking that'll work? What do you think this is: a video game? If you were playing against a human, would they let you do that? Luckily for you, my generals are set to be too dumb to notice this, but I still do. Beware that if my generals were set to 'Intelligent', you wouldn't be getting away with this." That was an awesome touch.
