Some people need to slow down and be patient

Hello everyone, I am reading some of these post and they are so aggressive that I wonder the sanity of the writer. People are writing in complaining about download times ... AARRGGHH! Today is the national release of the game. Just think of how many people are online trying to do the exact same thing you are. Some are complaining that the game isnt working right only to later find out that they were doing something wrong. And then some have legitiment arguments that they are finding bugs within the game. However, so many of these post also accompany sentences such as "I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOU AGAIN" or "THE GAME IS BUGGY, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!" or "I WAS GOING TO BUY IT BUT NOT NOW". Why are there so many people ready to point fingers and be so readily willing to dump the game because they are having some difficulties? I just dont understand. I am writing this post because I think folks need to calm down and accept the fact that this is launch day and problems (whether self inflicted or not) will arise. PLEASE HAVE PATIENCE things will get better and you can bet that the stardock team will be on top of whatever does occur.

hm, I got everything except the last few MBs already since last wendsday. took me 10-15 minutes to finish the download today.

It is much better to be impatient with game stores...neither Ebay nor Future Shop as the game yet...so I start telling them I might consider buying online...

But online = no box and no candy...I dunno, maybe there is a poster or something in the box!

Retailers have a harder life! Retailers should have the game NOW, not tomorrow! Even if Stardocks folks back them up, I will bash retailers for the pure fun of been evil and been nasty to them! They want to sell, they should have the game...NOW!

I agree with you 100%, Lyndy62. EVERY new game has bugs, and EVERY new release has problems. But I guarantee that Stardock is watching these forums very closely, replying to problems when they can, and will have things fixed in 1/4 of the time that any other gaming company would. Everyone just calm down. Just because you know that the actual developers are watching and replying in the forums, doesn't mean that you can come on here to scream at them. They WILL fix things. And a huge thank you goes out to everyone who is being civil about their downloading problems, game startup problems, and bugs. Flies, honey, vinegar, and all that.

i have had no problems at all with the down load nor the game at all. man i love having cable modem ...love the game so far. love the detail also. had one problem with ship design crashin the game. but alas i figured out what i was doin wrong aftr watchin the tutor video for creattin ships. no problems now. been readin some posts of people havin problems well u might want to check ur system. you just might not be able to play until upgrades. also some posts ive noticed sayin alt whatever causes a crash? well dont use those commands then is my solution. goin back to the game now have a great day. again evrything i ran across i took a step back and forced myself to actually read the manual and watch the tutor vids. most of the problems if u take ur time and retrace you can figure out what you did wrong... love the game keep up the great dialog Devs.
