Back after a break of one week I submitted my second game with the new scoring system yesterday for a nice 66K.

I'm really looking forward to the recalculation, this might even prove to be beneficial for the Diplomats overall, and Magnumaniac is sitting on a pile of to-be-submitted games, I guess.

We have been steadily gaining on The Overmind. We have four players in the top ten, they have none. We are still 300,000 and some points behind them, but that has narrowed from almost 500,000 a couple weeks ago. We will overtake them - it is inevitable - it is useless for them to resist.

They have way more members, and that seems to be the key to their hangng on to the lead this long. Note also the Browncoats - they have a lot of`members as well... more than us... I predict that they will also overtake the Overmind.

Well, just to show how quick the spread thins out, The Beginnins is 14 and it has 5 members, 3 who play and 2 who have never submitted a game

No - all my games with the betas have been submitted under my second character (Vigilante).

Not had much chance to play for the past week or so due to reasonably dry weather here in the UK and a wife armed with a garden fork!

My wife has taken to standing over me around midnight to watch me turn off the game. The robot guy keeps saying a few more turns won't hurt, but by look in wife's eyes, I think the robot guy is sadly mistaken.

Ha! Been there, done that. There's that roll of the eyes... that look that only a wife can give... although, who can blame her when she doubts the words, "Just one more turn and I'm done for the night."... you all know... something happens in what you thought would be your last turn and you have to take a couple more turns because you're afraid you'll forget the new development that just occurred if you save the game and quit.

Indeed. I've just decided to give into the enevitable. When she starts the 'go to bed' routine... I just save the game and turn it off... The robot guy has no phreakin idea...

Woot! I have taken the first few turns with the update. What I have seen so far is s-o-o-o great! Especially appreciated so far: The destination points and paths for your ships onscreen so you can see where they're going. color coded resource points - yellow for morale, etc. These two changes alone are going to be immensely helpful!!

Add moving waypoints to that list as well.

I don't know if i like the low population growth when building transports. My current game I've got nobody left to throw on the front lines. Just finished a massive war where the Korx who had twice as many planets as me. The Korx are finished but now I'll have to wait for my poplation to recover. I'm using a 5 module transport and want a full one for each planet my next target race controls.

Has anyone heard when the recalcs will occur. When they do we will take the lead as most of us play at a much higher difficulty level than the other empires. My last 6 games have all been won at the maso or suicidal level and entered on beta 3 or later. I just want to see my scores increase instead of watching my ranking steadily drop evry time I post a new score . Please recalc soooon. Bye for now.
