Well I've already got a 100K game ready for submission with the new scoring system, and a 40K 3 year cultural victory - so decent scores are very possible. It makes far more sense than the unlimited score potential that is currently there.

I agree with Magnum, the scores will be much different than before (and not yet perfectly balanced perhaps), but I'm sure it's a step in the right direction.

I was reading the flyer graphic there and unless I missed the meaning, I need to point out a spelling error. Dependency should be dependability. Dependancy means that you depend on others, dependability means that others depend on you.

I believe Gamefan 1981 has pointed out a typo that should be corrected. "Dependancy" should be replaced with "dependability".

I have a feeling that that might be me

Just finished my SECOND game Keep restarting them with each new Beta that came out, and seen as i only get a few hours a day to play you can understand the predicament

Beta 3, Gigantic Galaxy, Normal settings for all else and using a custom race i got 7700 points.. Not bad for the difficulty level i play! If i ever get enough games in to learn the system i may even get up to 'normal'

BTW Moosey why do all our members have color coded tags on their backs? Not some grading system you have devised for snacking i hope??

I just figured out what it is going to take to get that "1000 games submitted medal" ... and it ain't pretty.

Starting with a new character today, you'll get your "1000" medal if January of 2009 IF you submit one game a day... everyday... without missing.

I don't see anyone getting that medal this decade... if ever. Maybe if someone is serving a life sentence in solitary confinement and has a computer with GALCIV 2 in his cell... which if it were me, that is the game I would choose (But they would probably make me play the "Reach for the Stars" remake.. or MoO 3....

Did MoO 3 have a tag on its ear? It was a kind of a cow... and it went "MoO.".
