no sound in game please help

downloaded remaining files , launched game , sound playing in intro movie , once in a game no sound , pc has sound everywhere but in galciv2 ... checked audio settings (duh) and everything looks fine , increased the volume and still nothing .... plz help !

I am having the same problem. However, I realized I had forgotten to download any of the Tutorials/Movies/Multimedia sections. I am trying that now. Is it possible you didn't get Multimedia?

Suggestion: My assumption was that if I downloaded by selecting 'Galactic Civilizations II," it would download the entire she-bang. If it was going to be split up like this, I would have expected 'Core Game' to be a subheading underneath. Does that make sense?

similar problem for me. but in my case all the files in multimedia and tutorial are missing after i did an archive restore

now im at work with no sounds
