Deathly slow at 30kB/s on an 8Mb connection, but as we say in Sheffield, England: "It's better than a car boot sale".

And only a 5Mb patch

Wow, I am very impressed so far. I love the new nterface, graphics, new options such as ship building and everything . It looks like it will be fun to just customize the apperance of ships.

I can't wait to dig in deeper, but can't play more till this evening. So far, though, it looks to be an excellent release!

I am extremely impressed by the graphics and overall look. The mousewheel view scroll is flawlessly smooth. The interface is informative and not at all overpowering. I'm playing without having read the manual yet and having a fine time.

The screenshots DID NOT do the game justice. Anybody out there who is still undecided about getting this game, get off of the fence and buy it already. Mulitple: s.
