One other thing though: For some reason my metaverse scores don't add up correctly (yes, I know the formula): I submitted five games (since Feb 27), if I sum the scores up and divide by the square root of 5, I get 318,264 - the metaverse lists 286,400 though. My guess is that it happens because I actually resubmitted two of the games one time each, the scores displayed now are correct, but perhaps the total score is calculated with different (old?) values.

This may be due to server data that is cached. We calculate certain listed stats every few hours. What you might be seeing is some stats that might be a little out of date.

Well, depends on what you call "a little out of date", I guess. Are 4 days within this time-frame?
I didn't see the same thing in any other metaverse account, I calculated a few of them manually and they were all right.

Also, if you have any games submitted that are flagged as "Cheats Detected" this that games scores will not be added to the total, however, the game played will be added in that respect.

Get "processing data " on firefox, and older version of mozilla. IE won't even log-in. (type user/pass, and it takes it but doesn't log in, just bounces to same screen)

Any ideas ?

Make sure you're running the latest Firefox (1.5 or higher). That fixed the endless "processing data" on my end.

When I try to load the metaverse the game send me to this URL:

I'm getting this message when trying to post a game on the Metaverse: (16) The results of this game could not be posted to the Metaverse.

I was wondering if anyone knew why?

When I try to create a character (as prompted from the "metaverse" button in the game) , I get this:

StarV45 here again, the link I gave above doesnt work, but I just created a character some how. I dont know why it worked this time, but it did.

To those experiencing issues with the links from the game: The game contained some outdated links, but we've setup some automatic redirects so that you can get back to actual metaverse site. You shouldnt experience those issues again.

I guess it does, I'm going to do tha as soon as I get a chance. Would have been nice if we could have gotten responses but its fine, everyone's busy.

My metaverse score (Link) isn't what it should be: When I add the scores of my 6 games manually and divide by the square root of 6 (this is how it goes, right?), I get 466,409. The metaverse however lists only 391,590 for some time now. Could someone please have a look at it?

I had no games flagged as "cheated" and no, the score cannot be explained by using a different square root, you'd need the square root of 8.51 to get the right result.
However, I did resubmit some of the games (but only once each), so perhaps this is the cause of the problem.

e-stab - At the moment we arent divuldging how the scores are calculated. If T-Man gets the chance, and wishes to , he will follow up with an explanation to the score calculation.

Just as a note, scores are only run once a day. We've had alot of database issues due to extremely high traffic as of late, so please exercise some patience.

Well, I certainly don't want to get on your nerves, I imagine that you have more important things to do than to check someone's score, but
- it's not about the scoring of a particular game
- it's pretty obvious that the calculation of the total MV score is similar to the one used in GC 1: total score divided by square root of the number of games played (per time block, but we're still in the first one I guess)
- this system works for several other people in the MV where I checked it manually, but it doesn't for me
- it doesn't seem to be a time or refresh issue, as it hasn't changed for days

If my total score is right, just tell me and I'll shut up.
But if it is not, then there's a problem in the system.

I have checked to make sure that I am logged in, but for some reason the game/metaverse will not let me submite a score. I do have the 1.0X patch.

Also when are you going to get the shipbuilding glitch fixed? I get 2 or more crashes per game because of it. I have tried several approaches but it still crashes on me.

I just played a game this afternoon, the first in 4 days or so, and I got the exact same issue - I get back to the main menu without being asked if I want to submit the score.

hey same problem as some of the above. i can not make a chacter, i tried the 2 diffrent serial numbers that came with my case, the one on the cd case and the one on the collectors edition. (serial worked for download just fine)
i just keep getting the invalid number so i registered each one as prompted to but alas i kept getting the same message
anyway i didn't see any answers above but i could have missed it

If you are having issues submitting scores to the metaverse, which are related to the serial number, please email [email protected] with the description of the issue, your sdnet account information, the serial number you are trying to use to submit games and the debug file.

I had the endless "processing data" freeze when attempting to create a character. I was running Win XP pro and an older version of Firefox. I just updated Firefox to 1.5.... and it worked fine. Definitely something to look into if you encounter that freeze

I have not been able to submit a game yet.
I have completed 2 games in the final version (I was in the beta but never sumbitted anything there).

The error I got in my last sumbission is "(16) The result of this game cannto be submitted to the metaverse".

I triple checked my account and password and te issue should be elsewhere, as the Meta is recognizing my name and access.

Please help me... I won at "normal" and was ready to climb up the ladder a little bit.
