wat a load of turd, I've been going crazy waiting for it to arrive at my door around the 21st, and now i have wait even longer thanks to some msyterios "delay"

Paradox Interactive is handling all of the European releases, so take up the delay with them

On the other hand if you order the direct download form Stardock you can start preloading now and get the final files on the 21st. You can also order a disc and probably get it sooner than the normal Euro release, though you'll need to pay customs in that case.

I'm in UK and i pre orderd from stardock. best thing to do IMHO. i'll get 21st when the files are released.

I think its VERY bad business practice to allow people to buy from thier own website before its released in the relevant country.

If anything, companies tend to favour their distributors rather than their own retail distribution, for example I recall an instance when ATI ran out of a specific GPU and decided to delay their own order so that they can still go ahead make their promised shipments to OEMs like Asus etc.

I have just cancelled an order from Amazon.co.uk because as a consumer I simply want the item as fast as possible and this extra delay has crossed the line for me, I re-ordered here using their online version, which I will get in 2 days time.

Yet, even though I will benefit personally from this anomoly, I would prefer it if all people in the UK got the game at the same time, rather than punishing people who buy from UK retailers.

Retailers are a bit 20th century. Buying direct from the developer is the way to go.

I got tired of all these delays on European release. I just finished downloading the game files from StarDock and could not be happier Only thing that seemed odd is that I ordered CD version and the shipping costs were 0$ to Finland. Sended email to stardocks sales department, hopefully they fix it soon.

If you read the Stardock Store FAQ, it says it's $5 in North America, $10 outside. They don't display the shipping or charge you for pre-orders until release day.

play.com is out of date, check out the link at the top of the page. Paradox have already said it will be a March release for GC2 in europe. I've cancelled my pre-order and have already downloaded and "installed" GC2 from Stardock. Just waiting for the 21st now!
