How to create Backup of Preloaded

Hi,
I'am still downloading the preloaded version.

But I would really like to now, how I can create next week when all is complete a backup of the downloaded version in way that I can install it easily when my PC-Crashes and I don't need to download it again.

Thanks a Lot.

From SDC right-click on the GalCiv 2 entry and select "Archive".

Archive .AND. then burn to CD/DVD.  IME all computers sooner or later crash - offline backups are only prudent (and saves on the weeping & gnashing of teeth )

So guys I've just tried it out, it works so far...but one small error occured I had GalCiv 2 Archived with Entire Application(Including Skins), but after restore only GalCIv 2 is marked as installed and
Tutorials, Movies, Mediafiles are still marked as not installed...

Will this have any effect for getting updates on those packages?

You need to backup and restore the modules. When it does the "all the app" bit, it's not clever enough to do the registry keys to let it know the modules are there. Which we should probably adjust for modules to account for that better...

So can you tell me than what registry entries I have to make for
Movies, Multimedia and Tutorials...as I don't want to download them again...

Next time I will know to backup the single modules
