Now the story behind the facts, this is what is known about the Dreadlords...

The Dread Lords are the dark off-shoot of the Precursor civilization called the Arnor. The Arnor and Dread Lords fought for supremacy in the galaxy but both disappeared during their final battle.

But that is not the truth.

Many thousands of years ago, the Arnor a loving and caring race lived in a vast area of the Universe. They were ruled by a just emperor whose main goal was the development of a scientific empire and managed to achieved in his many years as a ruler so many technological discoveries that the Arnor managed to extend their empire beyond the dreams of its own emperor.

After the death of the emperor anarchy developed in the empire his twin sons decided to follow different path Dreadnor the name of one of the sons as his hather wanted to follow the scientific/religious path but his brother Arnor I decided to embrace himself with all kind of reprovable cultural and social activities that were unnaproved by the High Council. After many years of tensions war broke among the brothers. The Dreadnor army was conquering system after system but somehow Arnor I managed to steal a secret project codename Dwarf Star. Using this project he managed to destroy many system using a virus that attacked the brain of the people affected. Many millions of Arnorians commited suicide and planet after planet were abandoned.

The Dreadnor knowing that the end of his army was near managed to hide in a secret lab the embryos of the future Arnor race. Resources, higly intelligent robots were sent to protect this lab. Somehow Arnor I found about and he in person went on a mission to destroy the lab. Both armies met at the center of the Arnor-ik Galaxy there Dreadnor released a military device known only as Dark Star and both races disappear.

I think I'll join this "Jedi Republic" if it adheres to the "Benevolence through strength" principle.
Or any other good or honorable neutral empire.
