Activation error. Error: 0

I don't know whether this is a problem or not. I used SDC to download the initial block of Galciv2 and got the error dialog: 'There was an error activating Galactic CIvilization II. Error: 0. The selected product has failed to activate, please try again. AppId: gc2. Path: E:\galciv2\sig.bin'

However, after closing the dialog I then immediately got the notice that Galciv2 was sucessfully installed. I can also run it successfully to get the update dialog. So it looks like it actually worked, but the error confuses me.

There is also an error reported in the activate.log file:

'Application start: 2006-2-15 19.26.4
Silent mode
Mode 2
Submitting activation request...
Download: success
Result parsing error (1)
Error activating the product'

So there is clearly an error, but its not clear whether the error is something I have to worry about, or just some barf.

Use SDC and go to the chat section on left. activate and go to #SDCentral

The guys there should know the answer for you

Please right-click the app in Stardock Central, select the Activate w/logging option, and email the .\sdcentral\activate.log file to kwilas@stardock.com.

fwiw: I had exactly the same problem yesterday. Following the advice above at #2 it activated flawlessly. (who knew right clicking on the apps was active?!)

I did as as Avatar Nakor suggested and it activated without problems too

BTW, one thign about activation: You can still archive the game and install it onto a machine that has no Internet connection.  So you're not trapped to playing the game only on machines with net connections.
