Early Download

I'm not sure if you'll be provided a CD Key, or if you'll only get one with your CD itself (I would assume the latter). If you do indeed only get the Key on the disc box itself, you won't be able to download until you have it in your hands (the Key is needed to download it, AFAIK).

All downlaods of stardock products are done through their special software download/update system, Stardock Central. You can read more about SDC and get it here: https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral

It's been stated a few times already actually..

We'll (I did it too) get a temporary key, so we can download and get updates. When the box arrives you use your new permanent key.

does stardock central work like a download manager, so you can resume download after an interruption?

I assume that although those that purchased it directly from stardock will be able to download a MAJORITY of the files next week, it will not be playable until the 21st. I am basing this on a comment that Brad made ... something along the lines of 'Retail would freak if the game was purchasable online weeks before it hit the stores". Could we get confirmation on this?

Also ... if my guess is correct, approximately what time will the file that makes the game playable be available? 12:01 AM? I just need to know ahead of time so I can start practicing my cough at work ... don't feel too well, no siree!

Lol, I think I need to request off at work for that day and tell all my proffesors I cant be in class due to "personal" issues.

I wish I could do that, but they'd court-martial me instead...

SIgh, I'm going to have to leave my laptop on all night it seems that night. At least I get a three-day after the following night. Night of the 20th would be really nice though, and I don't think people would freak over 1 day.

Hi I'm in the UK, if I wanted a retail collectors box version, how would I do able it? Would I just order it from my local game store or would I have to order it from a US retailer on the net?

Also in regards to the temporary key if I pre-order the game in the UK do I get a temporary CD key and who would provide these, the store or Stardock?

Sorry for the questions I reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally want this game, and am more than willing to get the collectors edition of the game. However I also want to be able to play it in the UK on the 21st rather than weeks later.

Makes you almost want to move to Guam, USA doesn't it. Course, almost all the updates on products I have seen Stardock come out with are ready some time after 5:00 pm eastern time (GMT -5, currently). So now that I think about it, maybe the Guam thing isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Well for me it seems you will have to order it directly from Stardock then. I think you ask to much if want that Stardock keeps keep track of purchases all over the world from retailers and provide you with "temp" serial numbers.
