Good sale, but I've already got Gal Civ II: Dread Lords, and Dark Avatar. I've been waiting for a Twilight of Arnor sale or price-drop, but no dice. It's a bit frustrating, because I've actually been avoiding playing more GC until I get the complete game.

When your sales team is coming out with these sales, please don't forget about those of us who bought the game(s) when they came out.

I'm waiting for a sale on the "expansion bundle":

http://www.impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-TGN-W263

30 USD is way too much for this, considering the current cost of various games on steam (for example).

I'd pay 10 USD for the expansion bundle.

Looking forward to a future sale!

I've noticed that the expansion bundle no longer has a price on impulse (see my link above).

I really just wanted the expansion bundle for $10 USD. Get on it, Stardock!

Looks like our wait is over. The whole bundle is on for $10 now.

It looks like you can't buy the individual expansions any more, or at least I can't find them on Impulse.

Darn it! it's only for digital download! I would buy it if it came with the box/CDs.

It says you can get the box later for the price of shipping in the FAQ, but they didn't give a lot of details on how to get the box.

With or without the box, ToA is a great game!

Dont buy this product. Stardock has known about the crippled AI's in Twilight of the Arnor since 2009 and has done nothing about it. Yet another gaming company trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of an abandoned product.

Contact support@stardock.com about that, they should be able to help get your installation sorted out.

I guess there is no way to exchange the original Impulse version for a steam one?

No, if you want the game on your Steam account, you will need to repurchase.

Well there is a way to transfer registration from another system to Steam - because other games have done it. In fact the Indie Bundle sales do it all the time.

If Stardock provided a web page where users could enter their existing registration number (or sign into impulse etc), and they are given a Steam code that is then entered and activated from within Steam. Lots of games use this mechanism to allow users to add Steam titles to their library without having to go via a separate purchase at the Steam Store.

I'd suggest the real reason why "there is no way to transfer your registration" is the alternative would require a little bit of extra work on the part of Stardock, and then there would be all those lost sales from requiring gamers to purchase the game a second time, so it can be launched from a different icon.

Why provide something convenient to reward your loyal existing customers when you could require them re-purchase the same program?

Steam already has the mechanism in place to support the activation of licenses for existing users - all it would take is for Stardock to make arrangements for it to happen.

Great comments and good ideas.

Are you listening Stardock!
