after i conquer the galaxy and see score it crashes once I try accessing metaverse

My Windows 7 machine is crashing while posting to the metaverse.
I have tried deleting the sig and registry and re-registering but that didn't do the trick.
My game doesn't seem to be in the metaverse so I guess it is crashing before it posts it.
