Can anyone provide a quick guide to installing a star trek/star wars mod?  Am on Ultimate Edition.  Have tried several times without success.

Drop your mod into the mods folder here: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Galciv2Ultimate\Twilight\mods

Then:

1.- Start GC2U

2.- Select the options button found in the Main opening screen menu.

3.- Once into the Game tab options (second column on that screen, first group of items, top of that section). Click CHANGE.

4.- Click to USE any of the installed mods. Click DONE. Not default, not cancel, DONE.

5.- Click the USE MODS box.

6.- Exit GC2U.

7.- Re-start... your mod is active.

Thanks Prevenom,

Gave this a try but my directory seems to be different.  Wonder if this is the problem.  I dropped the mod into the mod folder and did everything you said on the option screen but still no result.

I don't have a Stardock folder.  Mine goes as follows:

C:\Program Files\Kalypso\Galciv2Ultimate\Mods

Look for this directory:

C:\Program Files\Kalypso\Galciv2Ultimate\Twilight\Mods

You dropped your mod into the mods folder for Dread Lords. There will also be a mods folder for Dark Avatar and Twilight. On the same page as your mods folder, look for a folder named "Twilight". Click on that then you'll see the mods folder for TA.

There's actually no mods folder in that folder.  Should I create one?

interesting.  just copied my mods folder into Twilight and loaded an old game to see if ships weren't available due to lack of hull size tech.  all the influence starbases appeared as TOS starbases but still no TOS ships.

Quoting panchromatic1976,

Yes if there's no mod folder there then you need to create one. Then follow the rest of the instructions from above to enable it.
