Purchased the ultimate edition on steam

When I start the game I don't see any letters only blank tabs

As you can see (if the link works) I only have white tabs. At first I could see them just fine. But when I wanted to experiment with using some cheats if messed up. So I deleted everything and re-downloaded and installed it again.

Only as you can see it didn't help at all. I tried rebooting steam and rebooting my computer just to see if that would make a difference. I checked the other tabs, like options and such and as you can see the text doesn't show up there either.

What do I do?

C'mon people! Isn't there anyone that knows how to fix this? I can't play like this you know. The game is literally unplayable the way it is now.

Literally every time I've ever seen this mentioned, rebooting the computer has fixed it.  If you've done so after the reinstall mentioned above, then either wait for Kryo or someone else at SD to weigh in, or submit a support ticket at Stardock Support.

The heck? I just rebooted again because I would be away for a while anyway. Then I tried it again and unlike the first time the letters show up! Thank you. Maybe I should have tried rebooting sooner even though I already tried it. Do you know what the cause might be?

If you don't know, just let this topic die in favour of someone else that might need help!

Something to do with how Windows treats the fonts that are used right after install.  I think it's been discussed in marginally more detail in other threads along the same lines, but that's all I remember.
