Turn processing does not end

When completing tech Antimatter Power Plants

Repeatable bug.  Save file available.  Debug.err file available.  User-initiated crash after interminable delay.

 

Have an odd bug.  When research on Antimatter power plants concludes, the turn never returns control to me, and the GUI does not allow its usual interaction during turn processing.

 

If I research a different tech to conclusion, the game continues as normal.  If I return to Antimatter power plants, it repeats bug behavior.

 

Workaround is to not research antimatter power plants to conclusion.  I have not yet tried getting it via trade, as I am far ahead of the competition; not sure if this would cause bug behavior or not.

 

Any help is appreciated.  I can provide save file (10,225kB) and debug.err (22kB) file.

Most end turn bugs tended to be linked to a ship with left over moves forcing the endturn to hang. Try clicking Find and cycling through all your ships and make sure they have no moves left before hitting turn to complete the Power Plant.

All units have completed moves.  I noticed in one attempt from the debug.err file which constructors were going to auto-construct on the next turn, and disabled their autopilot.  Same result as original bug description.

I'll remember this advice though when I try to isolate this bug in future.

Are you playing TA? There are many bugs in the TA tech tree that seem to break the game under certain circumstances. I do not use TA, so i cannot offer anything more on the issue, but Marvinkosh and Tolmekian have a very insightful grasp of TA and may be able to help you.
