I'm having trouble making the custom engine I want for my race, and the custom super projects and world wonders.

The main problem is I can't find the folder to save my customs, so I can't even get them into the game to see if they work. Also, I want to make the icon for my improvements, but I don't know how. If you know of an icon that is a cave, I would appreciate it if you could tell me where to get it.

PlanetImprovemnts.xml -> Data folder of your mod

GC2Types.xml -> ShipComponents folder inside the Data folder

There's two PNG format image files for each improvement, icon and query. These go in Gfx\Improvements\icons and Gfx\Improvements\query in your mod folder respectively. Do a Google image search on caves and I'm sure you'll find something you can adapt for your purpose with GIMP or some other image manipulation program.
