Inability to update

I purchased the boxed edition for the primary game. I then played it a while and then downloaded the add ons (both) using my visa card. Now I can not play these games because I cannot update the main game and there is no button anywhere (at least that I can see after about 30 minutes of browsing) on the web site that would update this game. When I press update from the main title screen it takes me to this web page........NOW WHAT??????????

 

This is the most retarded process I have ever used and I have been playing computer games for 25 years. What the hell is going on>:>>???????

 

Please help or refund my money

I am assuming you have installed Impulse. Did you put your registeration into impluse for GCII? If not, register your game in Impulse and you can update the game through it. Just click on the highlighted Update tab after you register GC2, click on the game, then click on the update button on the right hand side.

Yes I did and I can press the update button and for twenty minutes it just sits there and says 0 bytes downloaded. Does it take hours for the server?

Yep, now it is downloading. It does take a long time before it starts the process. I guess I wasn't patient enough for the process.

Some users have experienced issues with Impulse's use of windows' built-in background downloading system, so if you're having really long waits to get ti to do anything, you might try clicking the blue orb button in the corner, and use the alternate download option in the preferences.
