Install failure

GC2Launch.exe fails to run

I just purchased a Game of the Year copy of GC2: Dread Lords.

When trying to install from the CD I get the message that "GC2Launch.exe has stopped working." immediately.

I tried copying to the HD as mentioned, but that makes no difference.

I'm hoping someone has an idea how I can get this to install.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I don't know that any other hardware matters since the installer is failing to even start up.

did you purchase it online through stardock? if so you could download it directly from the web.

Some anti-viruses can cause problems for the launcher--you can simply go around it and run setup.exe off the disc manually.
