Can't create character in Metaverse

Hi,

I'm trying to create a character for metaverse use (all three slots are empty), but whatever name I choose, I always get the "The name you have chosen contains invalid characters." error.

I am pretty sure that I chose names with only letters in them. I also tried both FireFox and IE. The Link to my empire is http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=empire&id=3820 if that is important.

Did anyone else encounter this problem?
