Newbie question: expansions and game order

Hello all:

I'm wondering "how" you actually play this game in order?

I know it sounds silly, but I have 3 separate .exe files for 3 different games (galciv2, DA, and ToA).

For the campaign, I assume that I start in galciv2, then move to DA, then move to ToA?  Or, does starting in ToA give me an option somehow to play the entire campaign in order, from the beginning, using the ToA client?

Secondly, which of the 3 programs is best to play a non-campaign random scenario game?  Should I always run a random game in ToA for the latest and greatest graphics, bugfixes, balances, etc?  Or is a random game the same set of files and game engine regardless of which .exe I use?

Thanks in advance for any clarification!

I believe you cannot run the older campaigns in Twilight, so if that interests you, you'll need to run the older games.

Twilight is the only client that uses the latest graphics and gameplay elements. Of course it also has the most "stuff" in it, so for a new person it can be a bit daunting to just start a skirmish (non-campaign game) in Twilight and play. Especially because having different tech trees for all the different races can be really challenging (although you can make it a wee bit easier by choosing the Terran race, since their tech tree is the one most referred too, and is more or less the same across GalCiv2, DA, and Twilight).
