I just read about an event where a minor race 'The Vegans' appears, so now I'm thinking you misunderstood me. I was using a bit of dry humor refering to ultra-vegetarians (vegans) who do not eat any animal products, like milk or cheese as well as not eating meat. They do, however, eat bugs since insects are technically from the monoptera kingdom and not 'animals'.
I believe this was an intended pun. Thats what I thought
