Race Abilities

Do race abilities affect the final score? IE if i create a race with no ability points spent, will it score higher than a race with all (or some) ability points assigned?

Not directly i dont think it will.

But of course, your score might be lower since your econ, military production, whatever, might not be as high as it COULD be

Piznit is correct in the wrong way (sorry Piz, you can beat me up later ;) )

These bonuses will help you earlier on catch up and/or beat the AI and the early and bigger you do things in the game the higher score you will receive. Population and Military score are two of the most weighted factors in your overall score and so anything that can help you do this faster, is a good thing.

That being said, it is possible to win the game consistently, and still get very high scores, without any ability bonuses. Its just much harder.
