Installing on a standalone PC - Repost

I posted this in no-man's land, but I'm shamelessly reposting here because I don't think anyone will ever see the other one, and because it's also relevant for GC2.

I'm trying to get Space Rangers 2 right now, but my gaming machine has no internet access and I need to transfer the game there. My additional problem is that my only internet access at the moment is through my work machine, and installing games on it would be a bad idea. Is there any way I can get the game from Stardock with this setup?

Im not sure if this would work but download it on to a memery stick* then put it on your Gpc


*with allot of space

Thanks for the excellent responses. I forgot the most important part, though, which is that I can't install Stardock Central on my business machine. Any way I can still get this game?

Hmmm not that I know of, becuase when I purchased the game all I got was a serial number which I added to stardock central which enabled me to access the full game.

Possibly stardock could send you an archived version of the game or provide you with a link to download an archived version.

Nope. You'll need to have Stardock Central installed on the other PC in order to reinstall from an archive.  Why can't you install it on your business PC?

It would be really nice if you warned about all these shenanigans somewhere, before some poor sucker like me makes the mistake of actually buying something.

I had difficulties in beginning - the ordering page has instructions to write your name as it appears on the credit card, but my name has a character that the credit card validator doesn't like. Should have given up then.

Then, after I have managed to pay it doesn't give me a download - it gives me a download of a program THAT NEEDS WINDOWS TO RUN!

Then, after much agony I manage to download the files and get them to the right computer, install the stupid installer, restore the archives and uninstall the installer, and the only thing left of the game are a directory and icon in the start menu.

So, I'm left to consider whether I should write off my $39.95 as a learning experience, or contest the credit card charge. I actually feel that I was defrauded - the purchase button and webshop really gave me the impression that I was looking into an actual software download.
