Bonus for reaching 'team' of alliance

I have never seen any posts that even mention reaching the 'team' level of alliance. As far as I can tell, no one uses it. What I would propose is a set bonus that each civ gives to each of their 'team members' automatically. (i.e. 5-10% diplomacy bonus for teaming up with the Humans etc.) This would actually give players a reason to team up.
I would also like to see this extended to minor races (maybe with a smaller bonus) which would give players a reason to treat them as more than a speed bump.

Scincerely,
Scintor

That would be because the only way to get 'team' status is by setting it from the game's start, or by a scenario. In either case, it's just a permanent/unbreakable alliance, nothing more.

Being imbued with the powers of Super Obvious Guy, I have a different theory on "team" status...

Multiplayer option. If not, SD would have eliminated it long ago.

Wrong, the "disgruntled employee" and "insulting of the wife" random event permanantly break team status. Surprised a Stardock employee got that wrong.

In which case that would be a bug--it isn't supposed to be breakable at all AFAIK. I'm just the forum moderator though, not a developer.

I said employee, not dev. I just assumed you all worked in the same building and conferred with each other.

But anyway, enough with wordgames, if it is a bug, it would be nice to see it fixed (not sure how to word this this late at night without sounding pushy or bossy, which I don't mean to sound like).
