Mavx and myself have finally been granted library control access, so the backlog of pending mods will now be processed through as we can get to them. It seems some people have complained about not getting any notice about rejections, so just to be safe I'll try to post the mods here that get approved/rejected.

For the record, about the only things that *should* get rejected are obscene or blatant copyright/IP infringement (i.e., photgraphs of actors, soundtracks, video clips, etc.). If it is anything you created yourself or got from public domain/open source sources, it should be fine.

Also, please do not include unchanged graphics, etc, that are arleady in GC2 in your mods (such is just extra downloading for nothing, and potentially makes GC2 content available to those who have not bought the game). In most cases you can simply reference the existing files and it'll work the same.

Quoting TC44,
Giving this a bump because I was wondering, are there gonna be any new mods anytime soon?

There haven't been any new ones since Jan. 12th

I was under the impression there was presently an issue with the upload system that the forums use, separate from the avatar issues, that was causing mods, among other things, to be unable to upload.

Anyone heard any news on that?  I haven't tried it lately.

Still awaiting Bara getting to it on his list.

X-Worlds 06-A + its potentially permissable(sp?) fleets/ships are almost ready... but i just read that Bara has to work on the library here (bad timing, i guess since GPG's Demigod MMO release will possibly get bandwidth access priorities on your servers).

So, just post here once everything is back to normal please Kryo.

That's will give me more time to fiddle a few things here & there.

Oh, and if this could help determining which SQL call is wrecked...

I thought that no mods were uploaded cause no one would bother to make any new mods, but now I see it's a problem with the uploading. The Library is really a crucial part of the modding community, please if you can give us any ETA on when we can finally show our mods to the public again, we will really appreciate it - I think I speak for all those modders when I say that.

Still couldn't upload the XW-Ships (S_09-A) but i figured updating earlier versions of XW-Planets & X-Worlds core files would be possible since Netriak has a new Galactopedia available.

You won't be able to "evaluate" the whole mod for what it really is... but that's okay, i had to re-adapt the entire installation structure without the fleets/ships feature until the library allows us to upload new files.

Soooo, approve asap please Kryo.

since Netriak has a new Galactopedia available.

Is it available on I-mod or any other sites? The library is not an option, of course.

Through linking the file URL slot, he bypassed the library listings since the updated version rewrote the previous. Effectively snooping out on Kryo's approval process, as i did BUT without the entire XW-Ships (actually, it is available at I-Mod -- still experiencing access problems from Keyweb.de, btw -- along with CoSH & other stuff) inter-dependant files such as GC2Types, textures recoloring, directX-models, or specific Thumbnails, etc.

Strangely, it's kind of "indirect" and somehow questionable -- but since there hasn't been any work done on the SQL flaws since January, we can only ask when it will get done or get clear answers.

Actually, if this site shares the same *non-fatal* library oddity that I ran into on i-Mod, the file (or files: I tried it a couple times) might just be in Kryo's queue and I just don't know about it.....

Well, I noticed that the file was too large, so I cut it into two smaller files, but when I tried to upload them, that "server error in "/" application" thing comes up:

Quoting kryo,
Nothing new in the queue, no.

At least there should be an update of the Dutch language mod in the queue, I did update it on 14/06/2009 with the Dark Avatar translation and is still marked "pending approval". I originally wanted to upload the Dark Avatar translation as a separate mod, but uploading is broken for more than a half year now (will it ever be fixed?).

I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. People are waiting on mods since May. This makes the Library page completely useless and furthermore reduces the willingness of doing mods to the public IMO. If this is not going to be fixed any time soon at least come with a statement, a plan, something so we may know rather to keep our hopes up or not.

This. Is. Getting. Annoying. We've been through, what, two sweeping forum updates since this whole mess started? Back when we were dealing with the Demigod fiasco I had assumed that Bara just had no time to deal with anything else, but now?! I'm beginning to think that they've forgotton about us ..........

Every once in a while I come check up on what used to be my favourite community. In May we'll be celebrating our Library's 'offlineness' first birthday! Yeah, it has been a year. I seriously don't get this, if the code is *totally* broken, just say so and might as well remove the Library icon from the top left buttons. If this *can* be fixed, find someone who can do it, there's surely at least someone with the abilities required in your team.. I hope. And if one guy moderates this all section, than maybe it should be reassigned to a whole team. But I think my post will be ignored just like my other ones, so I won't bother that much.

Well, I think this thread should be renamed to "Pending Mods, no under *no* review". And yeah, you might as well remove the Library icon. It redirects to a useless section of the website anyways. I don't think I was too aggressive in this post, just trying to get the message along.

I fear nobody's listening. No devs, mods, or anything else Stardocky have shown up here in quite some time...... the new ship design thread hasn't even been stickied.......

Has it really only been a year? Feels like less and more at the same time: all the stuff that's happened, and all the stuff that's stayed the same, the development of Elemental and the endless beta grind, my resurrected desire to learn to drive, the dearth of people in here.......

Well, at least I haven't subjected anyone to my "poetry" yet....... there's something about an empty forum that makes a nerd wanna wax philosophical......... probably shouldn't post with this much Nyquil in my system...........
