Hi,
ok i searched for it in the forum. I changed decimal symbol to '.' instead of ',' at country settings etc. under 'Zahlen'(in German language). So now it works, but this is DARK MAGIC! There is nothing logical to that, so please patch.

Thx Alex

81.98 isn't even the latest drivers. See if the 84.21 drivers do anything to help

download:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_84.21.html

[edit] ignore what I just said, didn't read the second post. Unless you want a link for the latest nVidia drivers

It's not really ideal for german, they have said to run it in US english. A pain I know, but there were some problems in the EU paradox versions, mainly in things like translation and a confusion of which version it was meant to be shipped in.

Hi,

after changing the ',' to an '.' i can see those textures. I made this change under settings->system options-> country settings/options->Zahlen(German; in English Numbers or?). I'm still wondering about, i can't understand why this works? My opinion on this: U(nknown)F(unction)O(rder). So for me this was no problem cause I got internet. But what is with those people who doesn't? They sit around and don't know, maybe never will know or? So i think the release version was in this case not good enough prepared. And i hate patch policy. Eredicating failures step by step, or patch by patch. So this is not fair for people who brought game for 39.95€. For this cash i want a game which i can play without patching stupid(or wanted) failures to hell. I hope stardock or whoever is in response for this will alter this path of let me downloading and searching for workarounds. After 5 hours i could start playing the game. I hoped for a good Sunday, so it wasn't. Time, and before all Free Time is rare and i can't waste it. So i hope some people who are responsible for that will understand that and change their patch Doctrine in favour for those time crucial workers who only can play some hours at the weekend Sunday. If this will not alter buying those games will be no more fun. Eo ipso it will end in WORK and i have something better to do than working in my free time.
Maybe some persons will come and can't understanding or they start saying: "Hey dude why you are wining? Thats the way things gonna etc and so on, you know bla bla. Nothing can be changed. Patching is standard." So they can call me an Nostalgian. But i can't and i will not accept this patch doctrines. And if i have to stop buy games i will do so.Games have to be fun and nothing else. So enough wining for today.
Greetings to the community out there. And have fun with GalCiv2 if it's working, so God will.
